Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, the learned counsel for the State Shri Shankar Kumar, A.C. to AAG7, Shri Priyadarshi Matri Sharan, the learned counsel appearing for the Nagar Parishad, Bettiah and Shri Amit Shrivastava, Advocate, assisted by Shri Biresh Pandey, appearing for the Election Commission.
At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the present petition has become infructuous, hence the petitioners do not wish to press the present writ petition. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
