The petitioner seeks bail in Singhwara P.S. Case No. 145 of 2013 registered under section 302 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code.
The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected vide order dated 24.06.2014 passed in Cri. Misc. No. 16893 of 2014. The victim herself stated that it was the petitioner who set her ablaze. She got extensive burn injury and during the course of treatment the victim died.
It is submitted that the victim was not in a position to put her signature on her fardbeyan but it appears that the victim made her statement before one witness namely Amrendra Thakur.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.8588 of 2015 (3) dt.07-05-2015 2/2 Considering the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The same is rejected. However, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within one year from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. The Superintendent of Police, Darbhanga is directed to produce all the prosecution witnesses of Singhwara P.S. Case No. 145 of 2013 so that the trial must conclude within one year.
