1. The writ petition is filed to command the respondents to cancel the fair price shop licence which was issued in the name of Lal Bahadur Sahni/respondent no. 8 regarding gram panchayat Matlupur, PS-Pear, Block-Bandra of DistrictMuzaffarpur.

2. A detailed counter affidavit has been filed by respondent Nos. 3 to 6. The contents of the counter affidavit reveal that the writ petition was

Patna High Court CWJC No.17099 of 2018(2) dt.18-07-2025 2/2 filed at a premature stage. No licence has been issued to any applicant for the said PDS shop, and the authorities have not yet taken any decision regarding the finalisation of the PDS shop licence in favour of any applicant. Therefore, nothing remains in the writ petition for adjudication.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as it is devoid of merits.
