The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is non-payment of salary since January, 2018. The petitioner was appointed on compassionate ground after the death of his father in order to overreach the financial crisis faced by the dependents of the bread winner. But, in the instant case the compassionate appointment has been made illusory as the same financial crisis is being faced by the dependents of the deceased employee on account of non-

Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the District Education Officer, Bhagalpur to verify the records and if it is found that the petitioner was appointed on compassionate ground, he shall ensure payment of salary to the petitioner- arrears as well as current- positively within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order failing which the arrears will carry interest @ 9% which shall be borne from the pocket of the District Education Officer, Bhagalpur. With the aforesaid observations and directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.
