JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 11-01-2023 The petitioner had approached this Court by filing CWJC No. 13724 of 2018, raising a grievance that the District Magistrate, Nalanda was not taking any decision on his application for grant of arms license for a N.P. bore pistol. This Court, after hearing the parties disposed of the writ application with a direction to the Licensing Authority to consider his representation and take a decision within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. The petitioner has alleged disobedience of this Court's aforesaid order in the present contempt application. It, however, transpires from the show cause reply which has been filed on behalf of the State, that the petitioner's application for grant of license has been rejected. In such

Patna High Court MJC No. 76 of 2019(4) dt.11-01-2023 2/2 circumstance no willful disobedience of this Court's order is made out. It is noticeable that the petitioner was already having an arms license for rifle.

Be that as it may, it goes without saying that the petitioner is at liberty to either question the correctness of rejection of his application for grant of license before appropriate forum or make a fresh application for the same if permissible in accordance with law.

This application stands disposed of.
