====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE CHANDRA PRAKASH SINGH ORAL ORDER 15-02-2024 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.

2. The Petitioners are apprehending their arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable u/s 341, 323, 498A, 494, 506, 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioners and the co-accused persons are alleged to have tortured the informant and pressed her neck due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry. Further, her husband contracted second marriage.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.8515 of 2024(2) dt.15-02-2024 2/3 that the petitioners are innocent and have committed no offence as alleged. The petitioner no.1 is father-in-law and the petitioner no.2 is mother-in-law of the deceased. The petitioners have never demanded dowry to the informant. Learned counsel further submitted that the present case has filed after seventeen years of marriage without any justifiable reason. The petitioners have falsely been implicated in this case. There is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioners. The petitioners have no criminal antecedent as stated at para 3 of the bail petition.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, there is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioners, let the above named petitioners, in the event of his arrest/surrender within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned court concerned, Lakhisarai in connection with Lakhisarai Mahila P.S. Case No. 40 of 2023, subject to conditions as laid down

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.8515 of 2024(2) dt.15-02-2024 3/3 under section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
