JUSTICE ASHWANI KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 5 11-01-2017 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.
The petitioner has renewed his application for bail in a case in which he is facing trial for the offences punishable under Sections 302/34 and 120-B of the Indian Penal. The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court vide order dated 17.10.2014 passed in Cr. Misc. No.35227 of 2014.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that till date only four witnesses have been examined on behalf of the prosecution and the last witness was examined in this case on
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.24140 of 2016 (5) dt.11-01-2017 2 / 2 12.08.2016.
Be that as it may, regard being had to the reasons assigned in the order dated 17.10.2014 and the advanced stage of trial, I am not inclined to grant bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected.
The trial court is directed to conclude the trial expeditiously.
