2. The present application has been filed for quashing the FIR vide Civil Lines P.S. Case No. 257 of 2021/ G.R. No. 3143 of 2021 registered for the offence under Sections 498(A) and 354(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.8606 of 2024(3) dt.11-07-2024 2/2 Dowry Prohibition Act.
3. Md. Javed Zafar Khan, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. Manish Kumar No. 2, learned counsel for the opposite party no. 2, jointly submit that the matter has been settled between the parties and as per the settlement, out of Rs. 24 lakhs, the petitioners have already paid an amount of Rs. 17 lakhs to the opposite party no. 2 and the remaining amount of Rs. 7 lakhs is to be paid after the disposal of this case.
4. In view of the aforesaid submissions of the parties, there is no need to proceed further in the matter and accordingly, this application is allowed and the FIR vide Civil Lines P.S. Case No. 257 of 2021/ G.R. No. 3143 of 2021 and all consequential proceedings arising out of the aforesaid FIR are hereby quashed.
