2. Counsel for the petitioner submits that in the light of Bihar Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling Area and Acquisition of Surplus Land), (Amendment) Act, 2019, the present writ petition has become infructuous.

3. In this view of the matter, the present writ petition is hereby dismissed as infructuous with liberty granted to the

Patna High Court CWJC No.17580 of 2018(2) dt.03-03-2025 2/2 petitioner that in the light of Bihar Land Reforms (amended) Act, direction made under section 2(2)(ii) that the purchased money together with sum of money of 10 percent already legally deposited, is hereby directed to be refunded without any interest to depositor within 90 days from the date of production of this order. If payment shall not be made to the petitioner within 90 days, the petitioner shall be entitled for simple interest of 6% on the same. In this regard, the petitioner shall file representation before the Collector, Vaishali within 30 days along with this order.

4. It is made clear that 90 days shall be counted from the date of receipt of the order in the Office of Collector.

5. With the aforesaid directions and observations, the present writ petition stand dismissed.
