The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Nautan (Jagdishpur) P.S. Case No. 316 of 2020 dated 27.08.2020 instituted for the offences under Sections 409, 420, 467, 468, 420, 467, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code.
The accusation against the petitioner is of not having installed the electric meter which was entrusted to him.
The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that his only responsibility was of making onspot bills of the consumers. It has further been submitted that in some cases, on the instruction of the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.13450 of 2021(4) dt.24-12-2021 2/2 Electricity Department, he also discharged the function of fixing the electric meters. Two of the consumers have alleged after about one year of such installation of electric meters, that those were not installed by the petitioner.
Considering the afore-noted accusation against him, the petitioner was granted provisional bail by order dated 05.10.2021. The case diary was also called for. There is nothing in the police papers to indicate anything otherwise.
Considering the aforestated circumstances, the provisional bail granted to the petitioner is, hereby, confirmed.
The petitioner shall remain on the same bail bonds.
The application stands disposed off.
