2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Khagaria P.S. Case No. 1277 of 2022 registered for the offence under Section 364A of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner and others are said to have kidnapped the victim and demanded ransom of Rs. 5 lakhs for his release.

4. The informant of this case is the victim.

5. The petitioner is accused in 12 more cases and he is in jail since 20.6.2023.

6. On the strength of Annexure-II of this bail application, it has been argued on behalf of the petitioner that on

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.4584 of 2024(3) dt.09-04-2024 2/2 getting a secret informant, the police raided the Basa of the petitioner from where the victim was recovered and 180 ml of illicit liquor was also recovered.

7. Considering the fact that the victim was kidnapped for demand of extortion for his release, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

8. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.

9. The Court below is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner and conclude the same at the earliest. (Sandeep Kumar, J) Vikas/- U T
