That this is an application for issuance of writ or writs in the nature of mandamus commanding/ directing the official respondents to wake up from their deep slumber and grant Arms license to the petitioner for NP Bore Rifle, as he fulfills all the criteria for grant of an Arms license which he needed for protection of his life family and property but the Respondent Authorities in-spite of filing application on 27-08-18 in prescribed format, kept the matter pending which is against Rule 13 & 14 of Arms Rules, 2016."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Arms Magistrate / District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram, to consider the application, filed by the petitioner, dated 27.8.2018, for grant of arms license and take a final decision in the matter, expeditiously. 3.

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Arms Magistrate / District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram, to consider the aforesaid application of the petitioner, filed for grant of arms license, in case the same has been filed and is still pending and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt / production of a copy of this order. 4.

The present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
