The petitioner seeks bail in Obra P.S. Case No. 128 of 2019 for the offence registered under Section 304(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Earlier prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide Annexure-1 to the present application taking into account that the petitioner is husband of the deceased and the onus is upon him to explain the cause of death of his wife. A report was called for from the trial court. It has been reported that the case has been committed to the court of sessions and the charge has yet not been framed. Considering the nature of allegation and the stage of the case, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Learned trial court is directed to take all necessary steps to conclude the trial of the petitioner preferably within a period of seven months from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order.
