The petitioner is languishing in custody since 21.01.2014 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420 and 468 of the Indian Penal Code. It is alleged that the petitioner realized Rs.10,000/- from the informant claiming himself to be an agent of Electricity Department for collecting the electricity energy charges and issued forged receipt.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that only on suspicion the accusation has been levelled. A statement has been made in para 3 of the petition that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent.

Hat (Maranga) P.S. Case No. 73 of 2014.
