JUSTICE SANDEEP KUMAR ORAL ORDER 16-04-2024 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners; learned APP for the State and learned counsel for the informant. The petitioners seek bail in connection with Chand P.S. Case No. 200 of 2023 registered for the offence punishable under Section 304(B) of the Indian Penal Code. The deceased was married in the year 2021. She was being tortured. On 09.10.2023, she went to the police station where the accused persons entered into a compromise with her and took her back. On the next day, the dead body of the deceased has been recovered.

It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners are father-in-law and mother-in-

He further submits that they are separate from their son who is also accused and he is in custody and the allegation being general and omnibus, they deserve bail. It has been further submitted that the deceased committed suicide. Learned counsel for the informant and learned APP appearing for the State have opposed the prayer for regular bail of the petitioners.

I have considered the submissions of the parties. It is not in dispute that the deceased was married in the year 2021 and has been found dead in her matrimonial home. One day before the incident, she had complained before the police. Considering the facts of the case, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, this application stands dismissed. The Court below is directed to expedite the trial. If the trial is delayed, the petitioners may renew their prayer for bail.
