In the present writ application, the following relief has been sought for on behalf of the petitioner :

1. This writ application is being filed for directing the respondents authorities specially the District Magistrate, West Champaran (Respondent No.3) to grant license to the petitioner (N.P. Bore Rifle) under the Arms Act and other relief or reliefs to which the petitioner is found entitled to. The petitioner had applied for arms license of N.P. Bore Rifle with requisite fees before the Respondent No.3 on 12.07.2016. As per the Rule 13 of the Arms Rule, 2016, an order is to be passed within a period of 60 days of the receipt of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.1308 of 2019(2) dt.22-01-2019 2/2 police report. But no order has been passed till date. The petitioner resides in a naxal area. Therefore, he has applied for the arms license for safety of his life and property. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the Respondent No.3 i.e. The District Magistrate, West Champaran, Bettiah is directed to consider the case of the petitioner in accordance with law and pass an appropriate order within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, the present writ application stands disposed of.
