This application for anticipatory bail arises out of Katoria P.S. Case No. 188 of 2011 for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 324, 325, 307 and 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

The First Information Report was registered in 2011. The petitioner appears to have taken steps for grant of anticipatory bail in 2018. I am not inclined to entertain this anticipatory bail application, which has been filed more than seven years after lodging of the First Information Report. This application is dismissed.

The petitioner is directed to surrender before the Court below within a period of four weeks from today and seek regular bail, if so advised. If he does so, his application for

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.4796 of 2019(2) dt.29-01-2019 2/2 regular bail shall be considered by the learned Court below on its own merit without being prejudiced by rejection of present application for grant of anticipatory bail.
