2. Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
3. By way of filing supplementary affidavit, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that dispute between the parties has been compromised and petitioner is paying Rs. 2,00,000/- (Two Lacs) through Demand Draft of Axis Bank bearing Demand Draft No. 010222 to counsel for the informant in the court today, as one time settlement.
4. Mr. Brij Mohan Das, learned counsel for the informant does not dispute the contention made on behalf of the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.8123 of 2024(6) dt.03-07-2024 2/2 petitioner and has received the aforesaid Demand Draft in presence of the parties, in the court itself.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this anticipatory bail is allowed and it is ordered that let the above named petitioner in the event of his arrest/surrender before the court below within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bhagalpur in connection with Shahkund P. S. Case No. 475 of 2023, subject to condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
