The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Bettiah Town P.S. Case No. 504 of 2020 registered under Sections 420 and 409 of the Indian Penal Code. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case. Petitioner was posted as Branch Dakpal, Branch Post Office, Kotwali Chowk, Bettiah. Further submission is that due to Covid-19 pandemic, the petitioner became absent from his duty and he could not deposit the amount of Rs. 3,03,225.50/-. But now, he has already deposited

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.14696 of 2021(2) dt.17-12-2021 2/2 the amount of Rs. 20,000/- on 07.08.2020 vide receipt no. DOC 1501518168, Rs. 1,00,000/- on 19.08.2020 vide receipt no. DOC 1501728921, Rs. 1,50,000/- on 31.08.2020 vide receipt no. DOC 1501799637 and Rs. 33,226/- on 31.08.2020 vide receipt no. DOC 150178288. So, no any amount is remained for payment against him.

Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case, let the above named petitioner be released on bail, in the event of arrest or surrender before the learned court below within a period of four weeks from today, on furnishing personal bond to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bettiah, West Champaran in connection with Bettiah Town P.S. Case No. 504 of 2020, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr. P.C.
