JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 13-05-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. That this is an application for issuance of appropriate writ/writ, order / orders, direction / directions, especially commanding the respondent no. 2 (The District Magistrate) to renew the Arms license no. 470/2011 upto the current year and further grant permission to the license holder (petitioner) by taking into consideration the fact that revolver No. FG29924 which was purchased by the petitioner pursuant

Case No. 130/2016 u/s 379 of IPC but till date the revolver has not been recovered, thus he may be allowed to purchase new revolver."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the respondent-State has submitted that a proceeding has been initiated by the District Magistrate, Aurangabad under Section 15(3) of the Arms Act, 1959 and the petitioner has been issued notices to appear in the said case, hence the same would definitely be taken to its logical conclusion within a specified time frame, as is directed by this Court. 3.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Aurangabad to conclude the aforesaid proceedings within a period of four weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
