JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 04-07-2019 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. The present writ application has been filed by the petitioner for a direction to the respondents to consider his case for appointment on compassionate ground.

The mother of the petitioner died in harness while working as Assistant Teacher on 18.05.2017. The petitioner applied for compassionate appointment on 18.08.2017, thereafter the case of the petitioner was recommended by the Block Education Officer, Harnaut, Nalanda on 23.08.2017, but the same is pending before the respondents and as a result of

Patna High Court CWJC No.20292 of 2018(3) dt.04-07-2019 2/2 inaction on the part of the respondents, the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment is still pending. Considering the object behind the compassionate appointment, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to take appropriate decision in accordance with law on the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment at the earliest preferably within a maximum period of sixty days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the writ application stands disposed of.
