The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "That this is an application for issuance of an appropriate writ(s), order(s) or direction for to the respondents to pass an appropriate order on the application filed by the petitioner in the year 2018 for grant of Arms license (N.P. Bore Rifle) since the matter of petitioner is pending with the Respondent No. 2 inspite of competition of all the relevant statutory provision."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.2314 of 2023(2) dt.26-09-2023 2/2 seeks a direction upon the District Arms Magistrate/District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram to dispose off the application filed by the petitioner, in the year 2018, for grant of arms licence, within a stipulated time frame.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate/District Arms Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram to dispose off the pending application of the petitioner, filed for grant of arms licence, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order, subject to the petitioner furnishing all the requisite documents, asked for by the authorities. 4.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
