The petitioner has been arrested in connection with Simri P.S. Case No. 96 of 2014 registered under Sections 341, 326, 307 and 498A of the Indian Penal Code as well as Section 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

The petitioner is father-in-law of the victim and there is allegation against that he sprinkled kerosene oil on the body of the victim and mother-in-law ignited match on her body and she was done to death by burn injury.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is rejected.
