2. The petitioner is in judicial custody in connection with Banka P.S. Case No. 196 of 2024 for the offence punishable under Section 394 of the Indian Penal Code lodged on 07.05.2024 by the informant, Chandan Singh.

3. As per the prosecution story, the informant alleged that after collecting Rs. 87,560/- when he came out, the accused persons riding on a motorcycle after injuring his head by butt of country made revolver looted the said amount. This led to the FIR.

4. The investigation took and the name of the petitioner cropped up.

5. Para-3 of the petition shows that he has criminal antecedent of the same nature inasmuch as he has been made

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.2424 of 2025(4) dt.19-04-2025 2/2 accused in five criminal cases.

6. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that his name has come in the confessional statement, has no role to play and is in custody since 18.06.2024.

7. Learned APP on the other hand opposes the prayer stating with the help of the case diary that the petitioner's father himself upon watching CCTV identified him as the person who was involved in the crime.

8. Considering the aforesaid facts and the submissions of the parties as also the criminal antecedents of the petitioner, no relief can be granted.

9. The bail application stands rejected.
