This application, for grant of anticipatory bail, arises out of Bettiah (T) Police Station Case No. 239 of 2018, disclosing offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 353, 435, 427 and 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3 of the Public Properties Damages Act.

There is allegation against 14 accused persons named in the First Information Report and thousand others, who are said to have formed a procession for Bettiah Bundh. They are said to have damaged public property and a private bus. Considering the general nature of allegation, this application is allowed.

No.5140 of 2019(2) dt.30-01-2019 2/2 Let the petitioner, Ravindra Kumar, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the Court below within six weeks, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bettiah, West Champaran, in connection with Bettiah (T) Police Station Case No. 239 of 2018, subject to the condition laid down under Section 438 (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. This is subject to the condition that the petitioner shall present himself before the police/Court, as the case may be, as and when required and in the event of failure on his part to appear before the Court on two consecutive occasions, his bail bond shall be liable to be cancelled.
