Having regard to the nature of allegation alleged against the petitioner while this Court is not inclined to change its view, inasmuch as, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is already rejected by an order dated 08.02.2013, in Criminal Miscellaneous No. 20509 of 2013, this much has to be now ensured that the petitioner's trial should come to an end because the petitioner is in custody for a period of more than two and a half years.

From the report of the trial Court dated 22.01.2015, it would appear that such trial is pending awaiting production of witnesses by the prosecution. The main person to be examined is the victim girl who

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.18686 of 2014 (3) dt.08-04-2015 had sustained injuries by way of acid attack apart from the Doctor and the Investigating Officer.

In such circumstances, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna, is hereby directed to ensure that all the prosecution witnesses required in connection with Special Case No. 10 of 2013 arising out of Maner P.S. Case No. 312 of 2012, must be produced before the trial Court within a period of six months from the date of receipt of this order. The trial Court having completed evidence in the aforementioned period shall also deliver its judgment in next three months. In this way the trial of the petitioner has to come to an end within the total period of nine months from the date of receipt of this order.

Let a copy of this order be sent to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna as also to the trial Court for its strict compliance.
