JUSTICE SUDHIR SINGH ORAL ORDER 27-02-2019 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. The petitioner is filing this writ application for issuance of writ, specially, in the nature of mandamus commanding/directing Respondent No. 2 District Magistrate, Bhojpur, Ara cum Licensing Authority under the Arms Act to grant license for DBBL Gun of 12 Bore to him forthwith and for issuance of any other writ/writs, order/orders for which the petitioner is found entitled in the facts and circumstances of the case.

It has been submitted that the petitioner had applied for issuance of arms license. The father of the petitioner was

Patna High Court CWJC No.21217 of 2018(2) dt.27-02-2019 2/2 holding arms license and he was possessing DBBL gun of 12 Bore. In pursuance to the application made by the petitioner, the police verification was made. Thereafter, Annexure-3 was issued by the District Licensing Authority (respondent No. 2) in respect of submission of documents including the death certificate of father of the petitioner. An interview was also held on 31-072015 but no final order has been passed till date. The petitioner claims his entitlement as per rule 25 of the Arms Rule, 2016. Considering the submissions advanced on behalf of the petitioner, the District Magistrate, Ara cum Licensing Authority is directed to look into the case of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observation/direction, this writ application stands disposed of.
