The petitioners, who have superannuated as drivers from the Department of Irrigation and Water Resources, Siwan, seek direction to grant them promotion on the special

Patna High Court CWJC No.4852 of 2019(2) dt.28-03-2019 2/2 category in the light of the decision taken on 25.04.2013 by the Superintending Engineer, Saran Canal Circle, Chapra in letter no. 486.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioners that despite their having made several attempts to have such benefits given to them, the efforts have only fallen on deaf ears.

Without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioners, this Court directs the petitioners to make a fresh representation before the Chief Engineer (Irrigation), Water Resources Department, Siwan within a period of four weeks from today, who on receipt of the same shall dispose it off by reasoned order within a period of eight weeks thereafter. With the aforesaid observation / direction, this petition stands disposed off.
