The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Panapur P.S. Case No. 204 of 2019, registered under Sections 302 and 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The accusation is that the marriage of daughter of the informant was performed with Jitendra Rai, son of Bunela Rai (petitioner) in village Belaur, Saran. Due to wedlock, his daughter blessed with male issue, who is aged about 5 years. More so, she was kept properly for five years, but, thereafter, she was being tortured by her husband and in-laws and was killed with the help of other unknown persons and her dead body was thrown in the water to conceal the evidence,

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.1983 of 2020(2) dt.23-01-2020 2/2 thereafter, the informant was informed on 20.10.2019 about missing of his daughter, Rina Devi. The informant reached at the sasural of his daughter where police also reached and the dead body was traced out in the eater.

Submission is that in fact, daughter of the informant had gone to attend the call of nature, but, she did not return, thereafter, the information was given to the informant and on search the dead body was found in the pond, but, with ulterior motive implicated the husband of his daughter and other in-laws in the present case. Further, submission is that petitioner is the father-in-law and is in custody since 24.10.2019. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, above named be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Panapur P.S. Case No. 204 of 2019 to the satisfaction of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, I, Saran at Chapra. (Rajendra Kumar Mishra, J) Shamshad/- U T
