The petitioner seeks bail in Chiraiya (Shikarganj) P.S. Case No. 228 of 2014, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304B, 201 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The father of the deceased made allegation that on account of non-fulfillment of demand of dowry, his daughter was killed within 2 1⁄2 months of her marriage with the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the deceased was suffering from different ailments and on account of such she died.

But, from the perusal of the prescription, it appears that she was treated on 16.07.2014 and she died on 01.09.2014. No serious ailment was pointed out.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.4333 of 2015 (4) dt.27-04-2015 2/2 Considering the facts aforesaid and the fact that the petitioner is the husband and his wife died within 2 1⁄2 months of her marriage, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner above named on bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected. The trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within one year from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
