The appellants were convicted for the offences punishable under Section 302 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and were sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for life.

The Jail Superintendent, Central Prison, Muzaffarpur, addressed letter dated 20th January, 2015 stating that the two appellants herein, have been released on 27.08.2003 and 01.05.2003 respectively on completion of sentence awarded against them.
