The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Nautan P.S. Case No. 258 of 2019 for the offence registered under Sections 304(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code. The allegation is regarding the accused persons having harassed the deceased victim lady on account of nonfulfillment of the demand for dowry and ultimately had killed her by strangulating her.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the father-in-law of the deceased lady aged about 71 years and he is languishing in custody since 16.10.2019, although he has got no complicity in the matter and the husband of the deceased lady is already in custody.

No.2717 of 2020(2) dt.20-01-2020 2/2 Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner coupled with the fact that the petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased lady and is languishing in custody since 16.10.2019 as also the fact that the husband of the deceased victim lady is in custody, I deem it fit and proper to direct for release of the petitioner herein on regular bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bettiah, West Champaran in connection with Nautan P.S. Case No. 258 of 2019.
