The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sonepur P.S. Case No. 724 of 2020 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 272, 273 and 120(b) of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 30(a), 38 and 40(1) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected on 26.05.2021 because of his antecedent and huge recovery. The submission is that the similarly situated accused has been granted regular bail. The petitioner is in custody since

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.5221 of 2022(2) dt.24-05-2022 2/2 12.10.2020. It has been submitted that the charge has been framed.

Considering the period of custody and the allegation levelled against the petitioner, the petitioner above-named is directed to be enlarged on bail, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Excise Saran in connection with Sonepur P.S. Case No. 724 of 2020, subject to the condition that the petitioner shall make attendance in the local police station (Sonepur) on first Sunday of every month.
