The petitioner seeks regular bail in Patliputra P.S. Case No. 40/2018 corresponding to Sessions Trial No. 366/2018, registered for the offence punishable under Section 364(A) of the Indian Penal Code.

The informant has alleged that his younger brother Jeyad Arif aged 15 years had gone to school and he did not return. Thereafter, ransom call was received by the father of boy making demand of Rs. 1.50 Crore for releasing the boy. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the victim boy has been recovered. He has given his statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C. He has stated name of three persons

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.44 of 2019(2) dt.18-01-2019 2/2 namely, Waqar, Shashi Ranjan (petitioner) and Ashish in his statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C. Md. Waqar Ashraf @ Aamir whose name has been taken by the victim boy has been granted bail by a Coordinate Bench of this court vide order dated 19.09.2018 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 39994/2018. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, prayer of the petitioner for grant of bail is allowed. Let the petitioner above-named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000 (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional District & Sessions Judge VIIIth, Patna in connection with Patliputra P.S. Case No. 40/2018 corresponding to Sessions Trial No. 366/2018, subject to the condition that both the bailors will be close relative of the petitioner.
