Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered under section 387 of the Indian Penal Code as well as sections 16, 17, 18, 20, 23 of the UAP Act.
Petitioner is not named in the first information report and it appears from perusal of the impugned order that in course of investigation, two witnesses claimed that they had seen the petitioner and others taking wine and writing letter for demand of ransom and it appears that except the aforesaid material, there is nothing against the petitioner who does not have any criminal antecedent and is languishing in jail custody since 17.1.2016.
Accordingly, petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs 10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Sub divisional Judicial
