1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned APP for the State.

2. Petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Complaint Case No. 1917 of 2021, Tr. No. 2428/2023 registered for the offence punishable under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code.

3. The main submissions advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner are that the petitioner is husband of the complainant and their marriage was solemnized in the year 2001 and he, himself, surrendered before the trial court and he has been languishing in jail since 29.09.2023 and he is ready to keep his wife with full dignity.

4. Though the learned APP appearing for the State has opposed the bail prayer of the petitioner but stated that he may be granted bail provisionally and he may be directed to attend conciliation meeting before the trial court.

5. Considering the above submissions, the petitioner's prayer is allowed provisionally for a period of one year from the date of this order, on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/-(Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the concerned court in connection with Complaint Case No. 1917 of 2021, Tr. No. 2428/2023 and the trial court is directed to hold the conciliation meeting in between both the spouses either by itself or through the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and if the petitioner cooperates in the conciliation meeting then after the completion of the bail period, the provisional bail shall be confirmed on the same bail bond taken by the trial court and if the petitioner does not cooperate or intentionally deny to keep his wife with him then the provisional bail, so granted, shall be cancelled by the trial court.
