Petitioner apprehends arrest in case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 323, 324, 326, 307, 504/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

It is alleged that this petitioner along with co-accused Putul Devi threw kerosene oil on the informant/deceased and her mother-in-law set her on fire as a result of which she died during course of the treatment.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case. He next submits that petitioner is unmarried sisterin-law of the informant who is separate in mess and property and has got no concern with affairs of the couple. He further

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.4708 of 2023(2) dt.07-04-2023 2/2 submits that there is inordinate delay of 12 days in lodging the F.I.R. and there is no explanation for the same. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail application and submits that there is specific and direct allegation that this petitioner along with her mother and sister threw kerosene oil on the informant and set her on fire resulting in her death.

Considering the aforesaid facts, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) Navya/- U T
