Pursuant to the last order, a supplementary show cause has been filed on 25.07.2023 and attention has been drawn to the reasoned orders passed by the Vice Chancellor on
Patna High Court MJC No.4673 of 2018(8) dt.31-07-2023 2/3 24.07.2023 in which it has been incorporated that the Ph. D acquired by the petitioners in this case is/are not as per the UGC provision and as such, the claim has been rejected. Mr. Ameresh Kumar Singh learned counsel for the petitioners with the help of the supplementary affidavit filed on 28.07.2023 submits that in paragraph 4 it has been stated that they have granted benefits to four of the similar situate persons inasmuch as Imteyas Anjum, Bipin Kumar Singh, Dr. Ramchandra Prasad Mandal and Ugra Narayan Kumar have been paid increment relating to their Ph. D.
To this Mr. Ritesh Kumar learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University submits that vide letter no. 1448 dated 21.07.2023, the Director, Higher Education had instructed all the University to review such benefit granted to any of the person in their respective University and to take appropriate decision in the matter.
It is his further submission that the names that has been mentioned by the petitioners herein, their cases will also be reviewed in view of the letter issued by the Director, Higher Education, Bihar, Patna, as stated above, and appropriate decisions will be taken accordingly by the University. In that view of the matter, since reasoned orders have

If the petitioners, so want, can challenge the reasoned order dated 24.07.2023 which has come by way of supplementary show cause.
Accordingly, the present MJC No. 4673 of 2018 stands disposed off.
