JUSTICE DINESH KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 08-04-2016 Heard learned counsels for the petitioner and the State. The petitioner being the husband of the victim is languishing in jail since 18.01.2016 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304B and 498A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The prosecution case is that the daughter of the informant was married with the petitioner in the year 2005 when the victim was killed on 01.06.2008 for non-fulfillment of the dowry demand. After investigation, chargesheet was submitted but the petitioner was ultimately arrested on 18.01.2016. Considering the fact that the victim died within three years of marriage and the petitioner was arrested after eight years of registration of FIR, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
