JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL ORDER 17-04-2025 Heard Mr. Shashi Bhushan Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner; Mr. Subhash Chandra Mishra, learned SC-16 for the State and Mr. Amitabh Sohan, learned counsel for the University.

2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is entitled for increment from time to time, particularly in view of the Government Notification issued for the first time in the year 1996 to grant increment. The petitioner was awarded Ph.D. on 01.10.2013 and even according to the subsequent clarificatory government letter

Patna High Court CWJC No.4871 of 2021(7) dt.17-04-2025 2/2 No. 2839 dated 05.12.2019, the petitioner becomes entitled for three increments from the effective date.

3. In this view, learned counsel submitted that he will pursue remedy before the Registrar of the University for granting him increments in accordance with the several circulars of the State Government which has been adopted by the University.

4. The Registrar of the University is directed to the consider the claim of the petitioner in accordance with law expeditiously.
