2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Runnisaidpur P.S. Case No. 119 of 2013 for the offence registered under sections 341, 323, 307, 504, 506, 379 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code lodged on 03.05.2013 by the informant Arun Kumar Chaudhary.

3. As per the prosecution story, the informant alleged that the petitioner along with the other accused persons surrounded the informant and demanded extortion. Later, one of the accused inflicted knife blow, causing injury on the eyes. Accordingly, the F.I.R.

4. Though learned Counsel for the petitioner tried to impress upon this Court that so far as the petitioner is

No.6078 of 2024(4) dt.08-05-2024 2/2 concerned, only allegation is of assaulting by lathi, learned APP pointed out that despite he being named in the F.I.R. and assault part is also assigned to him, the same having been lodged in the year 2013 after eleven years, he is seeking anticipatory bail.

5. Taking into account the aforesaid facts as also the submission of the learned APP, it would be appropriate that the petitioner seeks bail.
