1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the wife of the petitioner was working as a Cook in the Upgraded Middle School, Nagai under Siswan Block, District- Siwan and died in harness. As per the guidelines of the State Government, there is provision for payment of compensation / ex gratia to the dependent of the deceased employee. The petitioner has filed representation for payment of ex-gratia before the respondent no. 4 / District Programme Officer, Midday Meal Scheme, Government of Bihar, Siwan vide Annexure - 3 and according to the petitioner the same is pending since 2019.

2. Learned counsel for the State submits that the concerned authority may be directed to dispose the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law.

3. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the fact that representation of the petitioner is pending before the District Programme Officer Midday Meal Scheme, Government of Bihar, Siwan (i.e. respondent no. 4), the respondent no. 4 is directed to dispose the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order.

4. The application stands disposed of.
