1. Though the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for grant of wages for the period he had worked while confined in Central Jail, Gaya, while serving sentence in connection with Session Trial No.347 of 2015, for the period 18.04.2020 to 20.08.2023, however, the learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that for the period, during which the petitioner had worked i.e. in between 01.03.2017 to 18.04.2020, in the oil factory, situated at the Central Jail, Muzaffarpur, wages totalling to a sum of Rs.1,27,305/- have already been deposited in the bank account of the petitioner and now no further amount is outstanding for payment.

2. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the

Patna High Court CWJC No.1817 of 2024(4) dt.30-09-2024 2/2 petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Superintendent of Jail, Gaya/Muzaffarpur for redressal of his subsisting grievances, if any. Liberty so sought is granted.

3. The writ petition stands disposed off.
