The matter has been taken up through video conferencing.

The petitioner seeks bail in Mahila P.S. case No. 67 of 2019 registered under Section 341, 323, 498A, 379/34 of the Indian Penal Code and u/s 3⁄4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. The informant, wife of the petitioner, alleged that petitioner and others demanded Rs. Two lakhs and they assaulted the informant. The accused persons poured kerosene oil and tried to ignite the fire but somehow the informant saved herself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no injury was found on the body of the informant. The petitioner is in custody for last more than six months.

No.4418 of 2020(4) dt.05-06-2020 2/2 Considering the facts aforesaid and the nature of allegation made against the petitioner and the fact that petitioner is in custody since 16.11.2019, the petitioner, above named is directed to be enlarged on bail on his furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Sub divisional Judicial Magistrate, Bhojpur, Ara in connection with Mahila P.S. case No. 67 of 2019.
