The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Baruraj P.S. Case No.176 of 2019 registered under Sections 304(B), 201 and 120(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
The accusation is that the marriage of the deceased, the daughter of the informant, was performed with Mukesh Mahto on 04.05.2016 but after the marriage, the deceased was being tortured by her husband and other in-laws for nonfulfillment of the dowry demand of cash Rs.2,00,000/- and gold chain. The son-in-law of the informant, the husband of the deceased, in drunken stage, used to cause assault to the deceased. In the night of 18.08.2019, the deceased was killed
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.2725 of 2020(2) dt.24-01-2020 2/2 by her husband and other in-laws and her dead body was concealed by them.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the cousin father-in-law of the deceased, the daughter of the informant, and he has no concern with the family affair of the family of the husband of the deceased. With an ulterior motive, the petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case and is in custody since 16.11.2019. Having regard to the facts and the circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Judicial Magistrate, First Class, Muzaffarpur, in connection with Baruraj P.S.
