2. After some argument, learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that since respondent claims to be paying the rent to the step mother of the petitioner, the petitioner does not want to press the present petition with regard to the prayer for depositing of the rent in his favour and would be satisfied if Eviction Suit No. 05 of 2014 is expedited by learned trial court since the matter has been pending before the learned trial court for 11 years.

Patna High Court C.Misc. No.882 of 2017(10) dt.01-05-2025 2/2

3. In the light of submission made on behalf of the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with direction to learned trial court to expedite the proceeding of Eviction Suit No. 05 of 2014 and dispose it of at the earliest and preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order considering the antiquity of the matter.
