In this case, the petitioner is seeking bail in connection with Ahiyapur P.S. Case No. 981 of 2015 registered for offences under sections 307, 498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the D.P. Act.

The petitioner is the husband. The victim has died out of burn injury. An allegation has been made of sprinkling kerosene oil over the body of the victim and let her fire. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that specific allegation has been made against Rinku Devi and nothing has been said against the petitioner.

This Court is not inclined to grant bail to the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.15532 of 2016 (3) dt.02-06-2016 petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner, namely, Vijay Shankar Jha is rejected.

The court below is directed to conclude the trial of the petitioner within a period of nine months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. If the trial is not concluded within the aforesaid period of nine months, the petitioner will be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail which will be decided on its own merit.
