The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Baisi P.S. Case No. 270 of 2019 (Special Excise Case No. 990 of 2019), registered under Sections 272 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code and 30(a), 41 and 47 of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.
The accusation is of recovery of 168 bottles, each containing 375 ml and 384 bottles, each containing 180 ml Indian made foreign liquor recovered from the vehicle of the petitioner, which was being driven by him and in that vehicle co-accused was also found sitting.
Submission is that the petitioner has been implicated in this case mere on suspicion and he is in custody since 26.11.2019. Further, submission is that while the petitioner is

Case No. 161 of 2019 in which name of the petitioner had surfaced in the confessional statement of the co-accused. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, above named be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Baisi P.S.
