The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Saraiya P.S. Case No. 690 of 2021 instituted for the offences under Sections 272, 273 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 30(a) of the Bihar Excise Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 12.10.2021, is a person with clean antecedent and charge-sheet has been submitted in the case. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegation is of recovery of 54 litres of liquor from a Santro car. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is neither the driver nor the owner of the vehicle rather he had taken lift and came to be implicated when the
