1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P for the State.
2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Motihari Muffasil P.S Case no.541 of 2023 registered under sections 304B, 201 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. As per the prosecution case, the daughter of the informant was married to the son of the petitioner herein. It is stated that the seven named accused persons including the petitioner herein tortured the informant's daughter for nonfulfillment of the demand of dowry which was by way of gold chain and a motorcycle and ultimately she was done to death.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.6769 of 2024(2) dt.17-02-2024 2/2 petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case because of being the father-in-law of the deceased. The allegations are general and omnibus in nature. The husband of the deceased is in custody. The petitioner is in custody since 5.10.2023 and charge-sheet has been submitted in the case.
5. The application for bail is opposed by learned A.P.P for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the allegations in the FIR, the petitioner who is the father-in-law of the deceased being in custody since 5.10.2023, the petitioner not having any criminal antecedent and charge-sheet having been submitted in the case, the petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Motihari Muffasil P.S Case no.541 of 2023 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari.
